Bobby Taylor's number was retired Oct. 10, 2008, at the Longview vs. Mount Pleasant homecoming game.

TAYLOR'S CAREER:
Bobby Taylor played football for the Lobos from 1989-92 and was a member of the 1992 5A Texas State Championship basketball team.  He then played college football for the University of Notre Dame where he was selected as a consensus All-American in 1994.  Taylor was drafted in the second round of the 1995 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Eagles until the 2003 season and went to one Pro Bowl.  After playing for the Eagles, Taylor played for the Seattle Seahawks for one season in 2004, and then retired from the NFL in 2005.
