Jalen Claiborne joined the Longview High School coaching staff in 2017 and serves as wide receivers coach. A former standout receiver at Carthage High School, Claiborne continued his playing career at Tyler Junior College before transferring to the University of Wyoming. 

During three seasons with the Cowboys, he caught 108 passes for 1,518 yards and 13 touchdowns while also contributing as a kick and punt returner.

Claiborne began his coaching career at Crockett High School in 2016 before joining the Lobos. He works with Longview's wide receivers and helps develop one of East Texas' top football programs.
